If you want to have VDE and BSI and AFNOR and .......... marks, you should talk
to them.
They will probably tell you that you should go for the ENEC mark. Recently, the
EC CA Bodies agreed to take EN 60 950 under the ENEC umbrella. However, that is
not a mandated requirement in any of the EC member states. There may be a
marketing advantage.
The CABs will certainly tell you so.

You may affix the CE marking if you meet the essential requirements of the Low
Voltage Directive. You are assumed to have met the essentials of the LVD if you
meet the requirements of EN 60 950, for this product.

EN 60 950 has been transposed into a national standard in many of the member
states.
I don't know why the BSI and AFNOR need to do this as IEC950 is available in
English and French, however, other countries want to translate the thing into
something their citizens
can read. (Not convinced that IEC950 is readable in any language).

As you can see, it is all quite simple, once you know what numbers various
countries have
given IEC950.
