Thanks to Kurt Fischer, Pierre-Marie and other TREG'ers who've contacted me on this. I should have clarified that these tests are along the lines of CCITT recommendation G.117, so a balun with a wide frequency range (10 kHz - 30 MHz) and superb balance (50-60 dB), as well as both DM and CM (or "longitudinal" and "transverse" [metallic]) outputs is what I needed. Coincidentally, a brochure on an HP 4380 passed over my desk recently and it would have allowed me to do most of this testing without recourse to a balun (though for more money) I wonder if TREG'ers have experience with this tester?
