RE>>CX - update and FWD>CTR Approval inI 12/10/97
Thanks Tony - I will update the matrix and report to the project team. TL -------------------------------------- List-Post: [email protected] Date: 12/10/97 1:55 PM To: Timothy Lassila From: Tony Fredriksson Tim, The Australian contract ammendments by Reuben should be coming through within the next day or two. That is not the major issue. The issue is to convince our distributors in Australia to allow us to apply the C-Tick and/or A-Tick mark on our products as applicable using their Supplier Code. Reuben will continue to keep and maintain the compliance folders that document our full regulatory testing. This is going to take some negotiation with Qing Hu, the Marketing Manager from APLA, in combination with the distributor(s) of her choice. She is on a marketing trip right now in Asia and won't return until Christmas. Australia is looking like February at the earliest. I would give it a date of 2/15/98. Regards, Tony -------------------------------------- List-Post: [email protected] Date: 12/10/97 1:37 PM To: Tony Fredriksson From: Timothy Lassila Jerry/Tony - Quick up-date to the CX homologation list (see enclosed). I have changed the dates for Switzerland to 1/1/98 for the E3 and E1b with anticipation that BAKOM does use the CTRs NB scheme (per KTLs Treg report - see below). The cards are already marked with CE. Hopefully a slam-dunk deal. Jerry please advise and keep us up-to-date with official word from BAKOM. Also, I guess that means that our current applications at BAKOM for the CX E3 and E1b would not be used. The only countries that are left are Sweden, Netherlands and Australia for the E1u and the Slovak Republic and Australia for the E3 and other miscellanous APLA countries which are needed for GA. Jerry - What are the chances that Sweden and the Netherlands will except the cards even though we failed to meet the framing clauses as stated in our KTL reports; sorry, I can't recall if you have reported any news. Tony - How do the new contracts look? Will we make 12/30/97? Thx, Tim BTW - The CX CPRed Monday - There's a lot of happy people and a big list of orders - It's a happen product! -------------------------------------- List-Post: [email protected] Date: 12/4/97 9:39 AM From: [email protected] Treggers Please find below an extract of an email I received today from BAKOM in Switzerland which makes interesting reading. Basically, from January next year, products with interfaces completely covered by CTRs can be placed onto the Swiss market without the need for BAKOM national approval, providing the equipment is approved by a suitable Notified Body and marked accordingly. Please note that interfaces covered by national Swiss standards must still be separately approved by BAKOM. Provided the equipment applied for is presently rightfully bearing the CE-Mark plus hockey sticks and notified body #, it can be placed on to the swiss market and being used by 1.1.98 without BAKOM's involvement. Pls. note, however, that importers and users may be requested by the swiss market surveillance authorities to substantiate the rightfulness of the the usage of the aforementionned CE-Mark according to our regulations.
