Subject: Bellcore NEBS Forum

For those colleagues who are being bombarded by the word "NEBS", there
is finally a forum specifically intended to discuss the issues that
arise while trying to make products compliant to Bellcore
specifications, specifically (but not limited to) GR-1089-CORE,
GR-63-CORE, and SR-3580-CORE. This forum is celebrating its' first day
TODAY. John Curtis, moderator/host of TREG, and part owner of Curtis
Straus in Littleton, MA, has graciously agreed to set-up, moderate and
pay for this service. Thanks John! As there are only 2 members as I
write this E-mail, I would like to invite all those who are interested
in NEBS issues to sign up for the service. There is NO CHARGE and NEVER
will be. Simply send an E-mail to: [email protected]

Simply state in the body of the E-mail: subscribe

Once you subscribe, you can send e-mail questions, comments etc. to:
[email protected]

A listserver will then distribute your E-mail to all the other members
who have subscribed automatically.

Please tell your friends, colleagues, test labs, RBOC's, independent
telco providers or anyone else who might be interested in NEBS issues
about this forum.

My personal goals for this forum are to get a consensus and
clarification on appropriate test methods, answers to specific
questions, interpretations from industry and test labs as to intent and
test procedures for specific tests, and help generate valuable
information that can be utilized by Bellcore in the revisions/additions
to these documents. Eventhough this forum is not sponsored by Bellcore,
or the Regional Bell Operating Companies, I hope they will join and
participate so that everyone knows the game and plays on an even playing
field.

Again, please pass this information on to others.

Thanks,
Jim
