BABT340 Table 3 Functional Test Requirements Test #17 for Basic Rate ISDN receiver sensitivity tests references the procedures and configurations in ETS 300 012: Clause D.4.8.2(i) which in turn references ITU I.430.
The ETS and ITU documents describe very detail procedures for establishing compliance. The intent of BABT340 is for a manufacturing quality assurance test. There was some discussion at one time in this group about equipment and procedures to meet the intent of BABT340. Obviously using equipment such as the Siemens K1403 all the requirements of ETS and ITU can be verified but this is possibly more than is really needed for BABT340. Since I have lost the previous references in this group I would appreciate any input as to simpler test procedures such as maybe a simple diagnostics wrap test through a appropriate attenuator and the measurement of bit error rates for a suitable time.
