The third edition of ICES-003 was published in November and can be found at
the following URL:

http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/SSG/sf01375e.html#Interference-CausingEquipmentStandards.

It provides for the acceptance of CISPR 22 results (Canadian Standards
Association Standard CAN/CSA-CISPR 22-96, "Limits and Methods of Measurement
of Radio Disturbance Characteristics of Information Technology Equipment.").

I am not aware of any plans by the CSA C.311 national EMC committee to adopt
the 3rd edition of CISPR 22.

Bonjour de Montreal,

It is true, but like the American this is a two level compliance scheme. If
you have a product that meets CISPR 22, radiated and conducted limits you
are allowed to sell (and mark !!!) for the Canadian market. On the other
hand, if you have a product that meets CSA 108.8:1983 (which is a copy of
the old CISPR 22 with the old limits of the FCC, starting at 450 KHz)you
can also mark and sell.

This is the main idea of the Canadian EMC committee on which I seat.

Hope this help,
