Hi Mr Lee,

May be I could answer your question.

1. If you bought a LAN board from a shop, normally you can only
find a CE marked on the board. It normally wouldn't tell you what class
the board actually testing to. You need to find out from its
manufacture. However, if you look at its FCC label, it normally has
class A or class B on it. If you want to know what class the LAN you
should be using, then my advice is class B better it is better EMC
quality (10dB better).

2. If the LAN board is class A and when you install it into the
printer, the whole integral which include printer and LAN board may not
necessary be class A. It can be class A, class B or even fail class A,
it is depends on the EMC quality of your printer as well as the LAN
card.

3. From EMC point of view (at least in Europe), CE+CE does not
equal to CE. This means you do need to test the LAN board together with
the printer to making sure that they do still EMC requirement (EN55022 +
EN50082-1 or -2). From LVD point of view, if the 2 items has already
tested for LVD then you may not need to re-test it. Please remember
that the printer do have to meet the IEC-825 (EN60825) for class 1 laser
as well!
