I was told by attendees at the ETSI General Assembly and Anniversary party a week or so ago, that ETSI announced that they are going to give the standards away. I haven't had any official confirmation yet of that news, apart from the fact that it has thrown organizations that have to live of the sales of their standards into a tizzy.
