The following type of surge is applicable for BRI. FCC uses three types of classification for ISDN Bri equipment.

For DE and DD type interface
Line Surge type A (metallic and Longitudinal)
Line Surge type B (metallic and Longitudinal)
Power line surge if applicable


For XD interface( Behind NT1)
Power line surge if applicable
