Two issues here: (a) I believe that the information is in the Form 730 Application Guide.. Haven't looked at one for ages, but from memory: There was a box "Registration Class" with "T" for Terminals and "S" for Systems. There was something to the effect that proprietary PBX consoles and multifunction phones needed to be included in the registration application as system components. There was quite a stink about how to register apparatus with a PBX that wasn't yours. As I recall it, there was not only the issue of whether the permissable signal levels could be exceeded but also an issue as to whether the thing could automatically dial more times than it should and such stuff. Check your Form 730 Application Guide. Bill von Alven sometimes saved us all a lot of time and grief by ruling by "BillBoard and Application Form" rather than through petitions and stuff like that. Better yet, give him a call. He's still around for a couple of days. (We didn't give him enough to drink at his farewell party in Albuquerque.)
(b) The chair and editor of IEC TC74, WG8 did put together an ETSI document that shows all possible interfaces that can be, and what IEC 60950 requirements apply at each one of those interfaces. I don't know whether that document was ever kept up to date. The authors are Helmut Hintz of Alcatel in Ludwigsburg (just north of Stuttgart) and Robert Ferguson, a retiree from Unisys living in Ruislip in the Middlesex country side (I believe). Ciao, Vic
