Dear Daren !

Bee assured, that you have no chance to get an tbr21 approval for Germany
in September !!
I can guarantee that Germany will not accept tbr21 tests by September 98 !
It will be more likely the 1st Quarter 1999, **if** ETSI members vote in
favour of tbr21.
However, we are waiting such along time.......

An few points where to change the design of an US modem for
passing the tbr21 tests are:

tbr21 specifies:

1.-Feeding voltage is 50 Volts
2.-DC mask (Current limitation (!), like France)
3.-Zr- 270 Ohm and 750 Ohm II 150nF
4.-Ringing detection - 25 and 50Hz
5.-Dialtone detection - Continuous and cadenced(!!!)
6.-Automatic redialing- Blacklisting

Especially, items 2,5,6 are not known to an US modem design.

Best regards from Germany
