Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is looking for an experienced Product
Safety Engineer to join the team.
A BS degree in Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of 3 years experience
in Telecom testing is required. Good working knowledge of FCC Part 68,
Industry Canada CS-03, and other associated standards such as TIA/EIA-470-B,
TIA/EIA-464B is required. Must have excellent
verbal
and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and team skills.
This engineer will be one of the primary technical contacts for Part
68, CS-03 testing services. Will develop test plans and conduct tests on
various products, analyze test results and prepare test reports in the FCC,
Industry Canada format. Will also submit reports to FCC, Industry Canada,
and provide feedback to clients. Will work with other team members to
ensure delivery of quality testing services as well as provide
assistance to Marketing in identifying and
responding
to industry trends and new technologies. Will also handle special projects
as needed. This position will provide the opportunity to learn EMC and NEBS
testing. Heavy client interface and light travel
required.
