Dear Mr. Castano-Gonzalez, Your question has a very broad answer. There are many sources for what you want. They are not always consistent but they are pretty good.
If I were you I would start with the ITU studies on various regions that are avialable for download from the ITU web site for a charge (usually $ 200-300.00US each). These are very good documents. Secondly the CEPT yearbook is a source of prelminary detail on Europe. It is downloadable for free from their website. In those countries where it has been decreed that all carriers are equal and thus the network must be transparent regardless of who owns the equipment information is available on various websites. I would suggest for the UK look at OFTEL, for France look at France Telecom and ART plus the Ministry of Communications itself. For Japan look at the MPT and NTT sites. There are sites for the USA and for Canada as well. Bellcore(USA) had a good book called Notes on the Network. There are many websites covering various network issues. This should give you a very good start on your project. Regards G. Rae Dulmage, B. Comm., Mario A.
