Dear Group,

Recently, a new DSL technology for using POTS lines for data applications
is being used.
In the new applications the telephone line is used for two purposes. It is
used as a telephone line connected to the PSTN and it is used for data
purposes between terminals (PCs for example). The specialty of this
technology is the use of existing telephone wiring.

Two questions:

1) Is LADC testing the correct method for testing this technology?

2) Does anyone know where to buy or how to build the impedance simulator,
which is indicated in Figure 68.3(i) of 47CFR part 68? (the schematics in
the standard are not very useful, there are Zp values which are not defined
very well)

Thanks,

Jon Griver
