Dear Corrinne, In Australia the NTU is supplied by the carrier and is therefore regarded as part of the network. CPE connecting to the network is therefore required to meet the relevant standards applicable to that type of CPE and interface. There is a complication in that the NTU/CPE port might be SELV or TNV depending on the type of service and/or carrier. Hence each application needs to be individually assessed.
