Roger, Argentina has published Resolution 92 that requires safety approvals
in a three phase process. The first phase is in place today and requires
that the equipment must have a Declaration of Conformity to an IRAM or IEC
standard. The second phase requires testing and the third phase requires the
IRAM safety mark. Both UL and TUV Rheinland have a MOU with IRAM. IRAM will
accept test data to IEC standards. For about $500, UL will act as your agent
to obtain the required documents. You can find a lot of information in the
IEEE Product Safety newslist archives at http://www.rcic.com/

        Hello Treggers,
I need to go through approvals in Argentina with a PBX/Key type
system, and
have been told that the power supplies must be approved by a lab
"that works
from IRAM norms (world authorized)" in order for the equipment to be
        imported into Argentina.

Can someone advise what an IRAM norm is and which labs might be so
        authorized?
        Any help is greatly appreciated.
