I have most of my favorites set to applications on my phone. I set the hot
key access to allow me to launch that app by just holding that key. I also
purchased Butler, which has a nice feature of enabling that hot key access
from anywhere on the device (not just the phone app). So now I can get to
Bejewled as fast as possible!
One other very cool thing you can do with this is launch a DateBk5 Saved
View using one of the dbView application stubs. I have created a Saved View
displaying all my ToDo's in the @Telephone category, called the view dbView,
assigned a favorite button to the dbView application stub, and assigned 'T'
as that favorite's hot key. So now, I can pull up my list of calls I need to
make in no time flat, no matter what I was doing on my Treo. Anyway, I find
that pretty useful.
One other neat trick: If you have a favorite assigned to a contact's phone
number or email, you can highlight it and hit the spacebar. This will
display a list of all of that contact's phone numbers and emails. Select
which ever one you want and it will dial/email them for you. No need to have
more than one favorite for one person.
