Hey Mitch,

I upgraded from the 600 to the 650 two months ago. Unlocked GSM,
transferred my T-Mobile SIM over.

IMHO, it was worth it just for the better keyboard. Seriously! I can
type better, faster, and much easier on the 650. I still suport 8
600s, and when I have to go back to the 600 keyboard, it feels very
klunky.

I have the memory upgrade, but I'm still trying not to run out of
available memory. My solution is going to be to buy a different case
that has SD card storage in it, and do some serious organization. Eeeew.

Here's the amazing thing - I synced the old 600, and then installed
the new Palm software over the old stuff on my computer, and then
synced the brand new 650 to it. Almost all of my stuff transferred
over and worked. I was amazed, I fully expected it to all be hosed
but I'm still running it like that. Haven't done a hard reset yet.

The mail wasn't a problem because we're all syncing wirelessly with a
Notify client to my Groupwise server. It's pretty slick, and didn't
skip a beat on the changeover.

Some of my apps didn't looks so hot because they were lo-res, and I've
slowly but surely been replacing them with the new versions.
HandPainter squawked about it, but it was very usable. I've upgraded
that just to support the SoftAway guys.

Camera's better, but I have a real camera if I want to take pictures.

Blazer is the default web browser, and it's running great. Seems
faster, but I suppose that's the processor. I throw prc files on my
webserver now and download them directly from the web on my Treo. I
don't need no steenking Palm Desktop sync.

I sprang for a Bluetooth headset, it's the Sony Ericsson HBH-300.
Light and comfy. You do have to turn it on before you make a call, and
you have to understand its beep system to connect, but it has the
clearest sound of any headseat I've ever used, wired or unwired. 300
hours wait time, 8 hours talk time between charges. I haven't missed
or dropped any calls yet with it. But you know, no matter how nice it
is, I still look demented, like I'm talking to myself, when I use it.

Now if I can just get my boss to spring for that laser Bluetooth
keyboard ....
