Interesting application!
I downloaded it over the air onto my Treo 700p. First let me say that this is a very slick, very cool, very useful application - nice! When I evaluate products or collaborate on their design and implementation, I focus on what needs to be improved/fixed, but please don't take this as undue criticism - just trying to make a great thing better!! Initial observations: 1. This is a very cool application. I have been using mVoice for voice recording, and I'll probably keep it, but the typical thing I want to do is take some action on a voice recording, and having it sent to me as an email puts it right there in my face - very nice 2. The user interface is very slick. Nicely done! 3. Not sure why you position it for the 600/650. It seems to work fine on the 700 as well. 4. When I first start the program, it comes up with an error dialog telling me "Incorrect button. You don't (sic) choose propper (sic) button, rec button feature will be disabled." My choices are OK and Set Button Again. What it should say is "Record button not set. To set a record button, choose OK, otherwise choose Cancel" and the buttons should say OK and Cancel. If you want to keep the original message, the proper grammar and spelling would be "You didn't choose a proper button. The rec button feature will be disabled", but I prefer my original suggestion. 5. When I press the big Record button on the main screen, there is no indication that anything is being recorded. There should be a counter or other progress indicator. 6. The one-touch record button (the side button) behaves in an unintuitive (for me) way. If I press it once and release it, it opens the application but does not start recording. If I press it and hold it, it only records for as long as I hold the button. Perhaps this is better, but what I'm used to is pressing and holding to start a recording that continues recording until I take some other action. Perhaps both ways could be offered as an option. 7. For use on keyboard devices like the Treo, it would be good to have the Close button located near the Plan, Save, Re-send, Stop, and Del... buttons, either having them all at the top or all at the bottom. The most common things to do on the Play Messages screen is to either Close or Play, and so those should be the first two choices, followed by the rest. Thanks for asking. I'll send more if you like, as I use the product more!
