Arcade Reality is an interesting game for the Treo that places your environment into the game.
Using the Treo built-in camera, Arcade Reality transports the items and people around you into the War of the World (minus Tom Cruise, unless he happens to be sitting next to you). With Arcade Reality, aliens and space ships are invading the world around you. You, armed with your Treo, are the only hope for saving the world from these invaders. This game will have you twisting and turn around; aiming your Treo, smashing buttons and making all kinds of excited sounds as you blast the pixels out of the enemy. The people around you are obvious to the aparent dangers that are rapidly advancing around them. Ignorant of the life-saving manuevers I performed on their behalf, they often throw an concerned glance my way before clutching their loved ones and/or possessions. Caution: Do not play this game in public or big men in white jackets will be summoned quickly. Warning: Do not play it in public or people around you might think you are a pervert and are excitely taking unauthorized pictures or videos of them. The game uses the Treo's camera in an off the beated path, outside the box kind of way. Some parts of the games are straightforward while others, like 'asteroids', are missing something. I can figure out how to play the asteroids portion; my guided rocket have a mind of their own during the practice session. While it has its flaws, I enjoy the concept and look forward to development of this game (and the ones it inspires). Thanks, Carl W.
