No no, we were talking about the native voice recorder in the Treo 700p,
not AventVoice. When you email a file from the native voice recorder
it comes through in the email in an obscure format that few
normally-equipped PCs or Macs can play. That's what we were talking
about.

Cheers,

Don

I think that person was sending the native file manually from the Treo
to his Desktop.

The format that is local to the Treo must not be a wave file.

The sending process on Treo or at the proxy must convert it to a .wav
file.

Guys,

I am not sure why you need QT installed. When I send a message to my
computer via AventVoice it shows as a .wav file and Windows Media
plays it.

Am I missing something?
Damien.

Very odd. mVoice, which I own and use, sends emails as WAV files.
Not
as slick as if it sent MP3s, but I guess there are issues with
converting to MP3 and most voice recordings are fairly small.

Anyway, it's a curious space, this voice recording. It seems so
simple,
and yet everyone finds ways to make it complex!!

Cheers,

Don

I'm sorry, I had to download quicktime for the video that I took
and
wanted to play on my computer.

To play the .Qcp files I use Purevoice 2.4.0 from qualcomm
