I do recall being advise that having only 2mb or so of free memory is
cutting it too close. Not sure where I saw that. On my 650 I ran that
close to the edge and had reset problems. I just decided to do without
some things and the problems abated somewhat.

Then I got a 700p and with everything I can throw at it I still have
40+mb free memory, and that's with running Documents To Go in memory,
even.

One thing: if you run D2G, there is a tool available on their site that
moves the applications to a card. Works well and freed up about 6mb of
memory on my old 650.

Free up some memory - get to about 5mb free, and see how that works.

Cheers,

Don

Subject: Re: [Treo] Treo database memory problem?

i have always had about the same amount of memory. this is something
different i think -- database memory. I tried manually flushing
dbcache using MemInfo. I tried it by launching the command from the
memu. lots of info about various kinds of memory, but still can't
launch navigator. reset doctor has some negative reviews. scares
me, but i may try it
