The only times in the past month or so that mine has crashed was trying
to do something impossible, like use btCachED. The only times in the
past two or three months where I had to do pull the battery was when
trying to transfer files to a mounted SDHC card with the Treo acting as
a USB flash drive.

I found Brightcam to be essentially useless, it's dead simple to adjust
the brightness manually to exactly where I want it, rather than have a
piece of software guess dynamically. Butler is just so damnuseful, I'd
probably try to find a work around than dump it, if I thought it was
causing problems. Which it isn't. What version are you using?
