I already have WM5 based device. I use 2 phones. I'm happy with both as of now. With WM5 the advantage is that it Xeroxes outlook onto phone(leaving certain additional details). All the basic details are well covered. It's the default built in(this includes the middle name too -- hahaha). I'm definitely looking for palm to develop new s/ws, come with improvements. The success of any device totally depends on the applications available. If there was no email in the world then blackberry would not have existed.

I imagine it will be WinMob 6.0 rather than CE, but otherwise... While I don't want to go back to 'doze (similarity between WinCE & "wince" a mere coincidence?), I think many will if Palm doesn't update. I'm on about 35 mail lists and LOTS of posts are links to youtube and similar stuff. I hate that, for one because I can't see it, and two, because I can read the text of whatever the youtube speaker says faster than he's saying it. But OTA video is the future, and Palm's going to have to adjust to that, or many users like me are going to miss out on a growing amount of content and eventually have to hold our nose and switch. With high speed data networks becoming commonplace, I imagine video mail will soon replace text email. Palm's going to have to keep up with the technology or bow out. And while they're at it, they can design a unit with a standard size audio output jack so no adapter is necessary. And wifi. Yahoo! Groups Links
