Well, I tried it and it disabled Versamail's ability to send/receive
email, until I deleted it.

It did NOT disable my quick dial buttons.

I'd never looked at that Default Apps page of Prefs, but sure enough
next to Browser it says <none> and offers me no choices. And sure
enough, when I tap a URL link in Versamail nothing happens.

Can someone who has NOT used Uncache check the Prefs' Default
Applications screen and see what's in the pulldown next to Browser?

Yikes!

Cheers,
Don

Subject: Re: [Treo] Wow!

If anyone tries this, please let me know if your Treo somehow loses
its default browser setting. For example, now, after trying Uncache
last night and then deleting it from my 700p, none of my phone
one-button quick-dial web links work (e.g., I used to be able to hold
down the G button to launch Blazer and go to my Gmail account). When
I launch the System Prefs application and select Default Apps, there
are no options listed next to Browser: I can't even select Web
(Blazer) as the system no longer knows it exists. I _can_ launch it
directly, but the system won't pass it URL requests.

Anyone see similar behavior?

More importantly, anyone know how to restore Blazer as a system-level
URL handler? I tried restoring my Saved Prefs file from yesterday
morning (pre-Uncache), but that didn't fix it.
