Um, "wahoo," because during the duration between my nightly backup
(4am) and the time the problem occurred (late yesterday evening), I
had added half a dozen appointments and several phone numbers and I
can't afford those to be wiped out. I consider a hard reset+restore
to be a last resort if nothing else works. And frankly, while having
a broken default browser setting is highly annoying, it's not nearly
as mission-critical as, say, losing my addresses and calendar data.
