The only significant difference I know of is that the more expensive plan would allow you to use VPN software, either directly on the device or via PDANet and such.
There was also something about needing to have the more expensive plan to use Chatteremail in push mode for Exchange. But when I tried the $40 plan for a few days, I couldn't get it to work anyway. There may be other, contractual reason for the difference, but I didn't notice any differences. Sam Thanks, Sam - been wondering how i could reduce my data costs as well since signing up for the Cingular Data plan for my 680. Do you know what, if any, difference there is between the $39.99 plan and the MedaiNet one for $19.99? I thought there was some emails previously that indicated that I could still do unlimited data with my Treo under a different option that was cheaper... Anyone have an idea what that option is?
