Here is the ol' Extremetech SDHC performance article. Kingston Class 2 was faster than San Disk class 6, if the numbers are accurate. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,2094711,00.asp Not sure if the same applies to the brands' non-HC line of SD cards.

Bigger cards are always going to be slower. The bigger the card, the more data it is forced to write per block due to the block size needed by the formatting. The limited bandwidth of the bus to read/write the card is another factor. You will not be impressed by the SanDisk 2GB card either. I have one, and it is very slow for write speed when doing backups and writing many random, small files (i.e. backups). It works well and is speedy for very large, sequential file writing. I went back to my 512MB SanDisk Ultra-II card for handheld backups via Resco Backup. It's MUCH, MUCH faster than doing the same on my 2GB card!! I now use my 2GB card for MP3s only. --- Mike .....
