Well, but I don't know how "visible" this fumble is.  Sure those of us who 
already own the phone and keep up with this stuff see it, but I doubt those who 
aren't following palm developments (either because they don't have a palm or 
they don't have the time/desire) have heard anything.  Personally I don't think 
Palm should have taken the fix down, but then I think they also should have 
forced users to back up their data like they have with some previous updates.  
That way if the fix caused a problem, you just restore.  Oh well, guess we'll 
just have to wait, but it's been removed now for over a week, right?  I wonder 
when it will be back???

I agree also, to a point.  Palm won't fall into the sea tomorrow.  But with 
iPhone looming. it's stupid for Palm to fumble so clumsily now.

As for "how many 700p problems", MTDN posts this week are sobering.
