I think my head would explode if I hadn't just gotten the 755p. I can sit tight for awhile.
There are 300,000,000 people in this country alone. Palm's market is not going to collapse because it delays a completely new operating system a few months, or even several months. It's only the fanatics (us) that worry about these things. The rest of the public walks up to a Sprint kiosk and buys something the sales person recommends. I watch it in horror every time I'm at the local mall. They just walk up, heads full of nothing, and buy something after a 2-minute conversation with a sales person!! It's stunning. As far as the gloom and doom thing goes, as one very smart person has pointed out more than once, people have counted Palm out so many times that we've lost count. You'd be hard pressed to find a better smartphone on the market right now than the 755p. Presumably the 700p will be this stable when the update settles in, even if it's not as physically solid. I can wait. Probably. At least I think I can. My credit card is stirring slightly (having been overheated by the recent 755p and ThinkPad x61 Tablet purchases. It'll be awake again soon and ready to buy. The call of "The Pearl" is great. Must . . . resist . . . temptation!! Just kidding -- very little chance I'll jump ship. Unless T-Mobile comes out with a Pearl that supports its T-Mobile @Home offering, and Fave 5, and has better coverage in my area. I could make do with a simple 1000 minute plan from T-Mobile, given that wifi minutes are free (including hotspots). Could save a ton of money. Hmmmmmmmm. I should avoid all advertising for the foreseeable future. At that point, I'll evaluate my options. It's gonna be a looong 11 months. :-) On 7/3/07, Levi Wallach <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Doh! This is not good.
