The decreased battery life was disconcerting at first, but I've just adapted and occasionally have to put it on the charger in my car, or connect it to my laptop using my Seidio retractable hotsync/charge cable for a little pick me up.
For the amount of reduction stated on the batteries themselves, I'm surprised I'm not seeing more of a problem. I've also gotten more comfortable than I used to be with the battery hitting below 50%. Having "grown up" on Palm devices that lasted months on replaceable alkaline batteries, it's still an adjustment! I looked at that Nokia tablet, but given that I already carry around a ThinkPad x60 (soon to be x61) Tablet, I think that would be overkill, even if it would be cool. I stopped into the local T-Mobile store to caress and stroke . . . I mean play with . . . I mean evaluate the Blackberry Pearl some more. I think I . . . I mean my daughter . . . could get used to that keyboard. The text entry is pretty cool, actually, and requires much less thumb travel than even the Treo, which itself requires far less than my daughter's LG eNv. Still just kidding around - I'll stick with the 755p - it's quite good!! I might get the Pearl for my daughter, though, for college. . . if they were to release a T-Mobile @Home version of the Pearl, virtually all her cell calls would be free, over the college's wireless network. Interesting notion. It'll be awake again soon and ready to Go get a Nokia N800 Internet Tablet...that'll get your mind off smartphones for a couple of months. :-) Yahoo! Groups Links
