Does anyone know of a network time client for the Treo? Something that can be used on-demand to correct the Treo's clock OTA, without using the carrier's timing.
I'm with at&t and last time I checked, their network time was off enough to make me constantly late for meetings so I've disabled the built-in feature to get the time off the cellular network. I've been using TimeCopy from Blue Nomad, it came included with BackupBuddy, to synch my Treo's clock with my desktop. But if I have to do a reset by yanking the battery, the Treo's clock gets scrambled and when it reboots the clock will be off by anywhere between one minute and a couple hours. If this happens when I'm not anywhere near my desk, I have no automatic way to fix the time again (I usually don't wear a watch, and there is often no other clock near by). btw, and only somewhat related, I've been getting periodic crashes from TimeCopy when synching. I'm now looking at replacements, any suggestions to look for or stay away from? On Handango, I found ClockSync and TimeAble. -- Jeffrey Kaplan www.gordol.org The from userid is killfiled Send personal mail to gordol "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." - Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.
