FWIW, I use my Comcast.net connection for IP dialtone only. I get all
of my email (POP and SMTP) via my domain hosted at pair.com. I have no
problems sending email this way.

I DO have problems when I try to send email from my Treo. If I set
Versamail to send via domain host's mail server it won't go at all,
it's blocked somewhere. If I try to send via my cell carrier (AT&T) it
can take two frelling HOURS to go through.
