CDMA and GSM are the transmiter technologies used in cell phones like Treos.
My sense is that Versamail is problematic on GSM phones (600/680) as opposed to CMDA (700 and 755). This because I have not heard of any 700 or 755 users having these sorts of issues with Versamail. I have found Versamail boringly stable (on a 700P). I'm not a software engineer so don't quote me on this CDMA/GSM "theory". I fear the ONLY solution is either a hardware upgrade (obviously out of budget) or maybe Snappermail/Chattermail after you have had time to save some$$(?), though I cannot vouch for the stability of these applications on the 680 either. Again on 700P they have been very stable for me.
