?!? I receive GoogleGroups E-mail lists in my non-GMail E-mail account just 
as I would with YahooGroups...

Just create another login when in GoogleGroups, one that uses the E-mail 
address that should receive the messages, and set the subscription to send 
you individual messages in each list you subscribe. Much like YG.

In fact, if I recall correctly, GG even accepts the same "by E-mail" 
commands that YG does: -normal, -nomail, -digest.
