I finally got my Treo 700P to do a security lock after being idle. It turns out that if you set versamail to check for messages every 5 minutes, Palm Security thinks the device is only idle for 5 minutes so the security never kicks in. I changed versamail to not check after midnight and this morning for the first time it was locked and I had to enter my password.
However, when I checked my email this morning on the treo, it said I had 5 messages. I could see them being counted as they downloaded, but when it finished , they were nowhere to be seen. What causes these phantom emails most every midnight? Jim C wrote: > > > I use Versamail and it seems to work ok.
