Just did a fireware update on a Verizon Treo 700p. I can say that this MR
indeed solves a lot of problems, especially the SMS problem the Verizon 700p
is known for. The built-in SMS app now works perfectly without every locking
up my device. So I have ditched my workaround (Iambic Mail).

I have one problem, however. After successfully pairing my 700p with my Toyota
Prius 2006, I find that if I call out using the Prius speed dial screen on my
console, the car audio turns off and the sound is heard only on the handheld.
If I then touch the Transfer Call button on the console, I can then hear the
conversation in the car speakers. This was not like this before the MR.

On the other hand, if I initiate the call with the handheld, everything works
the way it should (I immediately hear everything on the car speakers).

Deleting the device on the Prius and the handheld and recreating and
re-pairint them doesn't solve this. Neither does a soft reset. I was
wondering if anyone else experiences this.

I'm tempted to reinstall the MR (if it lets me when it sees I already have
version 1.10 on the handheld), but everything else is working so well, I'm
afraid to do that.

One note. Recreating and re-pairing the two devices isn't as easy after the MR
was applied. Normally, all you do is this:

1. Delete both devices.
2. Tell the Prius to Register a new device.
3. Put the Treo in discoverable mode, find the new device, enter the passcode,
and press Done.

After the MR was applied, the above 3 steps consistenly just leave the Treo
saying everything is okay, but the Prius is still waiting for a connection.
The workaround for this is to add one more step:

4. While the Prius seems forever waiting for the connection with the device
you just successfully created on your 700p, place a call using the 700p.

That last step will force the pairing to be recognized by the Prius. At that
point, pairing is automatic in the future. I have a suspicion that the
necessity for the 4th step above is what's causing the problem I'm
experiencing.
