Actually, I think HSDPA HAS been implemented.  It's been out in Europe
for a while and I think AT&T has had it in some markets for a while,
although it's perhaps behind EvDO in terms of the number of phones AT&T
offers with the capability as well as the overall coverage area as
compared to Verison and Sprint's EvDO...
