OK, folks, so I'm a bit confused about memory. Since the prices have come down so much, I see no reason not to upgrade from my current 1G card(s) to larger capacity ones. I'm looking at 4G versions now.
(I use a Treo 700p.) Who knew - apparently there's lots of different types of cards on the market these days! I typically use NewEgg for most electronics, and they seem to have SD cards divided into two camps: 1) Those that support the newer SDHC (high-capacity) standard, and 2) Those that don't. Also, there's this dicussion of "class" in the features/spec sections. Appear that the choices here are Class 2, class 4, and class 6. I can't seem to find any clear answer in the Palm material as to what the 700p supports...so I cast this upon the waters.
