And I buy all my software from them... Never had one problem.
Probably because I always try my software before I buy...

Why do I ever need to request a refund?

Unless Handango has changed dramatically (been sold, got rid of all upper
 management, completely retrained their staff to treat customers like human
 beings and changed their customer service policies), they could not pay me
 to do business with them.  I'm not the only person who has had serious
 issues with their failure of customer service (including serious
 difficulties getting refunds for mis-advertised software).  If I only had
 one bad experience I wouldn't say anything, but on three different
 occassions I was treated like a criminal by their 'customer service' and
 refuse to ever do business with them again. I have commented to developers
 who make their software only available through Handango (which is thankfully
 very few) that I will not buy it that way.  

 Just my $0.02..
