True, that, but there is this:

http://www.wmexperts.com/reviews/smackdowns/smartphone_round_robin_final
_t.html

which contains this:

"I want to circle back to the complaints about PalmOS being "old and
tired" partially because it needs to be said again and again: Palm got
their OS right in so many ways that even though it's old it still works
incredibly well. This point was best made by whatever7 in our forums:

*XP stop being supported doesn't mean its not the best option for many
hardware for the next 5 years. You can make an argument for the
(abandoned) PalmOS. It's one of the best option for some people for the
next couple years.

That's exactly right. "New" isn't always better, just ask scores of
people who've updated to Vista only to regret it later."

Pretty much sums it up for me. There's another example of this, a
product called Second Copy 2000, which I used until the next version
came out last year! They just got it right, and had a product that
lasted over 5 years without changing. Look also at CDEX, the venerated
CD ripper. The latest production release was from 2003. Ancient in
computer terms, but I still use it and it still does the job perfectly!

Older, in computer terms, usually means inferior (the tools, not the
people!), but not always in ways that matter!!

Cheers,
Don

I just looked at that and couldn't even figure out what to click on for
what. Talk about a poorly designed page....
