This might work (I am using Windows XP and a Targus usb bluetooth nubbin): on the computer, right click on the hotsync tray item, choose "Setup", click the "Local" tab, change the serial port dropdown box to the COMx (mine is COM6) name of a virtual serial port that your bluetooth software has been set up to use. If you don't have one of those, you need to run whatever wizardly setup apps came with the bluetooth device and create one, then repeat the above steps. Mine does this too, every time I start up my computer; I don't know why. Also, make sure that you have the "Local" type of hotsync enabled (as opposed to "Local USB" only). These are the items at the top of the hotsync tray icon's right click menu with a check mark next to the enabled ones. Trip
