Here's a post I did back in March. The current version appears to be here:

However, the real thing for me will be: <Don clears his throat> "Does it suck like the other 5 FM transmitters I've purchased in the past couple of years" My latest attempt, and most successful so far at not sucking too badly, is the Scosche device: http://www.scosche.com/scosche_ipod.aspx?CategoryID=112&ItemID=FMTRNS01 It sucks less badly than previous attempts (every one I could find to buy, actually, including the Belkin one which sucked supremely). I like the Scosche one because it plugs directly into the, ahem, cigarette lighter (why are we stuck with this crude connector as a standard for power in vehicles, anyway?) (yes, I know that's a rhetorical question; I wonder if rhetorical questions would cease to exist if no one asked them?) and the cable comes out of the unit and plugs, with the help of the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter: http://mytreo.net/store/product.php?xProd=94, into my Treo. The sound still sucks compared to a CD or even the local FM stations, but as I say it sucks less badly than the other units I've tried. I got one for my daughter to use with her iPod, too, but I doubt she'd notice the sucking since she turns her music up so loud the sheer volume probably overcomes the suckiness. Besides, rap music sucks even in high fidelity (he said, sure to start a war, but hey, I'm up late and obviously getting a bit silly). Except for a sometimes pesky problem with the cell phone part feeding into the radio. Of course, if you turn the Treo radio off, the problem goes away, but so does the cell phone and email. Other than that, I really like my Seidio rig.
