I normally don't answer flames but this deserves a comment, since from
your comment I gather you've seen similar from other people.
When I Reply To a forum message, I often select the pertinent text to
which I am replying, rather than including the entire message. It just
shortens things a little. The trouble with that is, of course, that I
may be selecting a line from a reply to a reply to a reply, in which
case I may have no real idea who posed the initial query to which I am
replying.
Which is exactly what happened in the below-listed instance; I was
replying to the "Is there a device" query, regardless who originally
posed it.
Unfortunately, while my Reply sends the message to the list from when it
came, the emailer lists the quote from whoever was the From person in
the message to which I replied.
So, on behalf of (I hope) anyone whose emailer has erroneously credited
a snipped quote to the wrong actual quotee,
