Not on a full-size keyboard do I have the problem. As now, when I'm typing away
at a desktop computer, I can type too quickly to bother with having to remember
the abbreviations, even when I'm IM-ing.
It's when I'm doing those things on the Treo that the weirdness sets in,
especially if, for instance I'm chatting with my daughter, who wud ofn abbr
words 2 make her msg quikr.
I read that and go, "Gawrsh amighty girl!"
But after a few back and forths, I've decided to be cool and return fire.
"Wen R U 2 B hr? I ask.
Then I switch to email, in which someone, often my editor, has written
something requiring a response of, I plan, a less unprofessional nature.
And I find my self correcting, "I'll b ther in abt 10."
