is this an english literature class? why is the subject deviated from treo? The very purpose of the group is treo and palm, not english language or litrature. Everyons has his/her own way of working with things. If so then why do people reply inbetween the mail/message of the other person? I don't think this comes under an english grammer or litrature. I guess this is more irrirating to read those mails than the shorthand once. if one is quoting someone than that has to be in quotes like "........". why is that not happening? Just because someone is in a different mood so just replies to any topic other than the subject. There people in the group who reply without their names or don't know who has posted. Where are the english masters here? I guess all parents & people who talk about english language & litrature should ask others to follow who don't. If something is not clear then ask for clarity to help. All are not the same. All are not experts on treo or palm or wm5 or litrature. I think the moto of this group is to help people who need it, exchange different informations. My experiences would differ from others. Share your experience & learn from others. All respect to different types of editors in the group, they also function & make their comments differently. I guess it's important to respect others means of communication. If something is not clear, then ask for a clarification to help not correct english. A question to english professors: You hear a knock on the door. So you ask is it? What should be the reply?

If you're at a full-sized keyboard, why would you resort to that? I'm not the fastest typist, but it actually slows me down trying to remember to type 'ur' instead of 'you're.' In fact, 160 characters is enough for me to get fully spelled-out messages 90% of the time (I usually only txt-type when I run out of space in a single message). I'm sure it's mostly the initial onset of old-fart-itis -- my kids will likely point out many more examples over the coming years -- but I thought I'd ask to see if I was the only one.
