Previous Treo speakerphones were somewhat anemic compared to almost any "regular" cell phone. The Centro is as loud as my son's Moto Razr, which is good.
In general on these devices I find all of the maximum volume settings to be too quiet: the headset volume, the speakerphone volume, Bluetooth volume -- all max out at too quiet a setting. Lawyers and insurance companies are running things, though, so God forbid we should be allowed to blow out our own hearing if we want to!! Or, it could be an issue with the size/quality of the speakers being used.
