I've left both my Garmins - a Nuvi 250 and a GS60C - on the dash overnight well below freezing (though not, that I remember, below 0F) with nary a problem. Heat, on the other hand, has been known to temporarily "kill" both displays, though they both have come back with a few minutes exposure to the air conditioner. My experience says put the Garmins at least in the shade when you leave the car closed up for several hours in a sunlit parking lot.
