Don't be fooled... if the next-gen PalmOS Linux "Treo" is a dud, Palm will not stay afloat for long.
It's shrinking and focusing its efforts so it can survive. 2008 will be a very difficult year for them. Were it not for the 25% stake from "Elevation Partners" (or something like that) Palm may already have gone south... I still believe that Palm has the potential to bring an interesting device in 2009 because: - It will have the next generation of ChatterEmail built in, more powerful and more stable than ever (and ChatterEmail ALREADY is the best E-mail client there is) - It will have Opera Mobile built in, the best mobile browser there is - It will be PalmOS 5 backwards compatible, to a certain extent, allowing us to preserve most of our investment in software, and keep them useful until updates for the new platform are released (at reduced prices for most companies) - Except Apple, no one else gets the idea of a powerful device that is simple to use and gives you instant access to what you need - They are taking their time - They have an "Apple genius", one that was directly involved in creating the iPod and the Macbook lines, for example, working on the design []s Sandro Campos Mancini ----- Original Message ----- From: "L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2008 7:41 AM Subject: [Treo] Another nail in the coffin? > http://www.electronista.com/articles/08/01/28/palm.shutters.most.stores/ >> > > > -- > ============================== > War Eagle
