Don't get me wrong - I loved the 650 when I had it. It was everything the
600 should have been.

My point is that no matter how good the 650 was, the 700 was a significant
improvement, and the 755 is a significant improvement over that. The Centro
adds additional improvements, and a much smaller form factor. My adjective
"klunky" applies to its physical presence. If you hold a 650 and a 755,
it's unmistakable. The Centro isn't as solid as the 755, but even after
just a month of using the Centro, the 755 seemed just a bit large to me.

If they could build a Centro-sized device with the 755p's physical
characteristics, THAT would be something! Not that I mind the sparkly
black/silver package of the Centro, but at age 50 something a little more
755p-looking/feeling in a Centro-sized package would probably fit me
better!!

Cheers,
Don

In the FWIW dept my 650 is not klunky. I use it all the time and (knock
wood) it's been great. I may be in the minority but I suspect I'm not
completely alone. :)

Ah, you have much to see, young one. You are comparing the
Tytn to the 650?
You're three generations behind on the Palm side, comparing it to a brand
new HTC device. There is also the 700p which replaced it, which is now
long
in the tooth, the current 755p which is more svelte and solid, and of
course
 now the Centro.

Compare the HTC WinMob device to the 755p or the Centro, and you'll come
 back to Palm.

Rumors of Palm's demise are just really silly, IMNSHO. What matters is
what
it's LIKE to USE it, not what it's LIKE.

If you're even SLIGHTLY tempted to go back to something as klunky as the
650, you should DEFINITELY get a 755p or Centro!
